Leicester City Council's community safety team has begun a poster and social media campaign designed to make people aware that they can get advice and support from the local support service if they worry that a friend, family member, neighbour or colleague might be affected by domestic or sexual violence.

The campaign aims to motivate people to take positive action if they suspect something is wrong in a relationship or following an incident. It also aims to be a reminder that domestic and sexual violence is unacceptable and a crime.

The posters coincide with a time many people will be coming into the city for Christmas shopping and events, and the campaign is being shared with partners such as Leicestershire Police, the NHS, Leicestershire County Council, Rutland County Council and De Montfort University.

For more information on the campaign and how to get involved, or to give feedback, please contact Sarah Bywater (communications and marketing team)

Please follow the campaign on social media and spread the word using the hashtags #caIIUAVA and #dontstaysilent.
